Science and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) training was held on 30th January 2016. The training covered the Sixteen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), The Scientific Method, Introduction to Geospatial technologies and Introduction to Genetics.
The training was led by Umikaltuma Ibrahim and Serah Kahiu from Techwomen Kenya.
The training objectives included:
- Studying the application of the scientific process in the real world.
- Understanding the concept of sustainability.
- Exploring the use of geospatial technologies.
- Definitions of genetic engineering and its real world applications.
